The New Hampshire Veterans Home has a full-time, 1st shift vacancy for a Building Cleaning Worker I-II.

Proposed Schedule Includes:

6:00am - 2:30pm shifts

Some weekends (additional $2.00/hour)

• Summary:**

To serve as a team or crew lead, and/or shift point person and to independently provide a full range of cleaning, custodial or janitorial duties associated with the care, cleaning, and maintenance of one or multiple state facilities, buildings, grounds, or institutions; may include assignment to multiple units, areas, locations, or districts.

• Must have completed at least six months (full-time) or one year (part-time) of employment as a Building Cleaning Workers I • Must receive a satisfactory performance evaluation • Must be approved for promotion at the discretion of agency management to satisfy organ zational/business needs • Must receive a recommendation for promotion to Building Cleaning Workers II by the immediate supervisor

• Responsibilities:**

Building Cleaning Workers I

Performs light to heavy physical all-inclusive housekeeping, floor care, and custodial activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and whole body movement, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, or handling equipment and materials to perform cleaning duties, such as dusting, vacuuming, stripping/buffing/waxing/polishing floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls, and glass, and disinfecting.

Moves furniture, equipment, and resident belongings, as necessary, to facilitate resident moves, new admissions, and dischargesand/or floor care, to include packing, inventories, and storing of such belongings securely in designated areas adhering to writtenprocedures.
